Quoted text on reply

Hello,

I use Alpine 1.10(962).

Sometimes I receive messages with multiple parts, such as the following:

Parts/Attachments:
1.1 Shown ~15 lines Text (charset: ISO-8859-1)
1.2 OK 8.3 KB Image
1.3 Shown ~21 lines Text (charset: ISO-8859-1)
2 OK 2.1 KB Application

There is an image between two text blocks. When I reply with Alpine,
only the first text block (no. 1.1) gets quoted. However, I would like
to have all text blocks quoted in my reply.

Is there a way to make this possible?

Cheers,
Claus

Well, this does not work the way I need it:

(1) Formatting is wrong. For example, line breaks appear as "=20=" or
German umlaut "ΓΌ" appears as "=FC".

(2) Heading of the various parts appear (i.e. information about content
type, encoding, etc.)

(3) Content of non-text appear (e.g. base64'ed graphic)

In other words: What I want is the message as you see it rendered on the
screen (without headers on) quoted in the replied message.

As a workaround, I could export the message, import that into the reply
message, and add leading "> " manually. That is, however, cumbersome.

Cheers,
Claus

Just adding a 'me too'. This is one of my biggest day to day issues with
alpine.

I suspect there's some technical reason why a "not really text" part might
show up in a reply, but I think I'd like to see even a partial solution in
action to decide if it were truly worse.

In other words, it seems to me that the basic idea of "include everything
that's 'Shown' in the normal view in the reply" would work, at least as the
first attempt.
