[Pine-info] Compose Problem With Role "Use SMTP Server"
PC Pine 4.64
Compose a message using a Role designed with the "Use SMTP Server"
option set for an alternate SMTP server, different from the
Setup-Config setting as default. Postpone the message & save it in
"formletter folder", not in "postpond folder". The postpond
formletter message full header can be viewed to verify the "Use SMTP
Server" option is set (X-SMTP-Server = whatever)! All is fine there!
Start compose again with that formletter. However, the continued
composition is missing the "Use SMTP Server" option. I am aware it
cannot be seen in compose mode, but the entry is blanked! If
postpond again, the full header can be viewed to prove that.
Otherwise if the message is sent, the default server takes over
which is proven by send & firewall logs.
However, forward the original postponed formletter message, & the
"Use SMTP Server" option retains the alternate server required! It
works! Gremlins?
Further, if a message is originally postpond to the "postpond
folder" with an alternate SMTP server set, then accessed to continue
compose & ultimately send, all is well. Only the "formletter"
postpond suffers the problem!
Is this compose formletter problem a Pine bug or is there a feature
setup option / workaround, without patching, that I am missing?
(no compile/build capability for patching presently available here)
Is there something I am missing after reading help & digging through
setup-config? Is there something hiding in UW webpages I cannot
find?
